We often equate love with happiness, which make sense. But love also has a side to it that doesn’t give a person whatever they want, just so they won’t have to suffer.
This is really difficult to comprehend or accept, when our child dies, especially if there was suffering involved. If God loved us, why doesn’t He step in and stop the suffering and answer our prayers of protection over our children?
That is what this episode tackles, by looking at an email exchange from a mom with these questions.

Grieving Parents Sharing Hope (GPS Hope) is here to walk with parents through the darkness of child-loss, guiding them to a place of hope, light and purpose.
It is a safe place for anyone who has lost a child from this earth. There is no shame or judgment in where you are in this journey, including if you are struggling in your relationship with God or your faith has been completely shattered.

Thank you for remembering my daughter Sarah on her birthday May 10.. She is so loved and so missed by so many – I am grateful for all of those, who like you, hold her up in remembrance and prayer, and while Mother’s Day is a bittersweet day for me trying to balance remembering the day she was born with realizing I still have two other children (one of which is her twin) to be grateful for. She was a very special young woman making her way in the world as a veterinarian and she is loved and missed by all who knew her – not only human, but all of the furry friends she cared so lovingly for during her five years as a practicing veterinarian. Thank you for all you do for those of us who have lost children – as you know, it’s not a club we ever wanted to join.
